Engage

FFF is an experienced leader in the field of public and community engagement.  We have developed and produced a range of projects that use storytelling and media as a tool for individuals and communities to express their true attitudes and demonstrate their knowledge.

Why?  Because many of the best solutions and most valuable learning come from within communities, not from outside of them. Whether tackling rural farming challenges or urban health risks, our engagement projects empower local people on critical themes while providing them with an opportunity to speak out about those same issues.

Our current key engagement partner is Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU), a large-scale medical research facility that is unique in Vietnam. Based at the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases, OUCRU has been working in the field since 1990. Together we have developed digital storytelling and participatory projects around health and science themes.

Our collaborative projects work on real research issues to engage Vietnamese communities with the important science undertaken around them. Supported on a grants basis by the Wellcome Trust UK, our work has grown in scale and depth, as we embark on yet more formats of public engagement, to work with increasingly diverse sectors of the public.
